I asked my friend Melissa Merrell to take some pictures of Ainsley, so we went up Provo Canyon for a little photo shoot. Ainsley just got her hair cut from Auntie Heather so she felt like a little movie star! She was absolutely loving it, which you can tell from some of her cheesy smiles! She did so good and I was really happy with all the pictures. Thanks so much Melissa!!

Preschool

Ainsley had her first day of preschool yesterday!! It was just a short day though and parents were invited to come. But she still had fun!

We got to start on a quilt that Ainsley is going to work on throughout the year. She painted her name, a birthday cake with her birthday on it, and I put paint on her hands and feet so she could make hand and footprints on the quilt too. That was her favorite part! It was funny to watch her paint the birthday cake cuz she was being such a perfectionist. I traced a cake and then she painted the inside of it and it took her so long! She did a very good job though! There was one time that she went outside the line and she got really frustrated!

Then we went into the gym so they could take her picture and get her measurements. She is 3 feet 2 inches, and she weighs 33 pounds!

After all that stuff, she got to play for a little while. She ran around the gym with this little horsey for about 20 minutes and then we went home!

Baby Gracie Mae

Congratulations to Pete and Misty who had their baby girl, Gracie on August 4! She's adorable!!

Yuba Lake

I'm really not very good at staying updated on this. So here's some pictures from when we went camping at Yuba Lake the last week of July. We camped right next to the lake, so the kids just played in the water and the sand all day. Ainsley LOVED being with Ashton and Emma!

Ainsley playing with Jimmy and Makenna

Paul brought a big water trampoline that was way fun....except when the wind blew it about 15 feet in the air while Anna was laying on it....and John was "King of the Mountain" and threw Jacob off of it onto Kimberly and made her lose her glasses....

"Wow" is all I can say about this disgusting picture of Tyler, Becca, Miranda, and Spencer!!

FOURTH OF JULY

We had such a fun 4th of July! We went to the parade in the morning and sat by some of my family. They actually got good seats this year and we were in the shade the whole time. Wow that makes a big difference! We never get there early enough to find a seat, so we're usually standing up the whole time in the sun. Yet we still go every year! Gotta keep the tradition alive! :)

After the parade, we went to my sister Becky's house for the annual pool party. We can always count on Jimmy to bring some excitement wherever we go!!

We got tickets to go to the Stadium of Fire to see Hannah Montana. Ainsley had been so excited to see her!! We got to sit down on the grass and we sat by some of Ainsley's cousins, so she had a blast. It was fun being able to see Nan and Myles clear at the end of the row too! Too bad we didn't really get to talk at all.

Sam was able to take Ainsley back to meet Hannah Montana. She got her autograph and absolutely loved it!! These pictures didn't turn out very good, but Sam said her professionals took a picture and I guess they're going to mail it to Sam. I really hope so!

Dance

In November, Ainsley started taking dance classes at a studio called Vibe. She has LOVED it so much and has done really well. She has made some new friends and is starting to get a little more graceful! She struggled a bit at first, but has really picked it up.

In May, she had a dance recital and her class showed everything that they've learned. I was really nervous that she would be too shy to do anything in front of all the people. For those of you who don't know her very well, if anyone smiles, or laughs, or even looks at her while she's doing something cute, she usually starts screaming and yells, "DON'T LOOK AT ME!!" What a stinker! So I was so scared that she was going to do that in her recital. But surprisingly, she actually really liked it! She did so good and was so dang cute!!

I'm taking over!

Well Nick finally got our blog up, so now I guess it's time for me to take over and try to keep up with it. I'm gonna start from the beginning and see if I can catch up. I might decide that's a stupid idea later, but for now I'll give it a try! :) Here's a rundown of the Hendersons.....Nick and I got married on August 23, 2007 and it has been absolutely AMAZING so far!!

We lived in Nick's parents basement until April, which was nice to be able to save up some money. We didn't have a whole lot of space, but it was fun and Ainsley loved it! She was definitely in control of everyone in the house! It was nice for her, and me, to really get to know Nick's parents. They're amazing people! Ainsley was always doing something fun with her new Grandpa Kim. They would cook, paint, read stories, or Ainsley would just help him with whatever project he was working on! While we lived there, Nick finished school at BYU and got a new job working with three of his brothers. He has really enjoyed working there and plans to stay for a while.

We moved into a new townhome in April and we're really enjoying it so far. It's taken us a little while to get settled, but we're almost there. We really enjoy the ward and the neighbors and the fact that we can walk to the store whenever we need to!
